Specialty Additive for Anti-Washout Concrete and Mortar Repair Applications

Demonstration will show the use of an anti-washout additive for use in cementitious repair systems. The demonstration will show systems with and without the additive to exhibit the system’s function in water. The additive holds the mortar together to reduce loss of paste material into the surrounding water. This reduces water contamination and improves the performance of the hardened state concrete.

Objectives

1. Introduce the additive’s chemistry. 
2. Demonstrate the anti-washout feature. 
3. Demonstrate the improved strength on the concrete
4. Demonstrate the improvement to the surrounding water.
