Module 5 covers quality control measures necessary for a Concrete Surface Repair Technician to perform a post-placement inspection. This module presents a post-placement checklist that includes specification criteria, general information, curing and protection (placement temperatures and curing/protection procedures implemented), repair material strength (test specimens and strength requirements), and repair material bond (soundings and pull-off testing). Pull-off testing for determination of bond strength and identification of failure mode is detailed in this module.
To complete this module, you will need a printed copy of the Post-Placement Inspection Checklist, ASTM C1583/C1583M, and ICRI Guideline No. 210.3R (210.3R is included in the resources tab in this course).
